🧠 BrainScan

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 10, 2026 Β· Applies to the BrainScan iOS app ("BrainScan Pixel Retro").

Your photos never leave your device

Outline sketches β€” optional, and only if you say yes

Because no photo is kept, every scan in your gallery would otherwise look like another purple brain. So BrainScan can keep one small outline sketch per scan: a 240Γ—240 line drawing generated on your device from the same image, before that image is discarded, purely so you can tell your own scans apart.

Anonymous usage statistics (optional)

To understand which features matter, the app sends first-party, anonymous counters (for example "a scan finished") to our own server. Each event contains: the event name, the app identifier, a coarse country derived at our edge network, and a temporary 12-character random session ID that expires after 30 minutes of inactivity.

Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. See our Terms of Use for subscription specifics.

Notifications

BrainScan sends at most one local notification: a reminder on day 5 of your free trial, two days before it converts. There are no remote push notifications.

Children

BrainScan is an entertainment app and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Photos are never collected from any user.
