Help & FAQ
How do I scan my brain?
Open BrainScan, point the front camera at your face (or pick a photo from your library), and tap Start Brain Scan. Analysis runs on your device and your result appears in a few seconds.
Why do I get the same result every time?
That's intentional. Your brain is derived deterministically from your photo — same picture, same brain, always. Different photos (lighting, angle) can produce different results, because the pixels differ.
"No face in frame" — what do I do?
Use a front-facing, well-lit photo with a single face filling a good part of the frame. Avoid heavy shadows, extreme angles, sunglasses, and group shots.
Does BrainScan work offline?
Yes. Face detection and brain rendering are 100% on-device, so scanning works in airplane mode.
How do I cancel the free trial?
Two ways: in BrainScan go to Me → Manage Subscription, or open iPhone Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions → BrainScan. Cancel any time; if you cancel during the 7-day trial you will not be charged. We also remind you on day 5.
What does Pro include?
Unlimited scans, the full 12-metric report, HD brain-art export, and every theme — Cyberpunk, Royal Gold, X-Ray Lab, plus a new theme drop every month. Galaxy is free forever.
How do share cards work?
From your result, tap the share icon. Pick Story (9:16) or Square (1:1), then share to Instagram Stories, save to Photos, or use the system share sheet. Cards include a small BrainScan badge so friends can take the challenge.
Is any of this real science?
No — and we say so everywhere. BrainScan is entertainment: the brain is generative art and the scores are playful fiction. It measures nothing and diagnoses nothing.
Where are my photos stored?
Nowhere. Photos are analyzed in memory and discarded. Your history keeps only a derived number, never images. See the Privacy Policy for details.
